>BREAKTHROUGH summer event
Celebrating the story of the programme so far.
After three years of the >BREAKTHROUGH programme, we were finally able to meet some of the programme’s business owners, in person, at a special celebration event in Eastbourne last week.
It was a day to celebrate, reflect and recognise the achievements of those business owners.
The project is a collaboration between always possible and East Sussex County Council, and is part of South East Business Boost.

We heard from CEO of East and West Sussex Council, Becky Shaw, who delivered a wonderful speech recognising those who have joined the programme and the importance of shining a light on these individuals.
We also heard from three of >BREAKTHROUGH’S entrepreneurs – Kristina Clode, Jenny Williams and Rachael Perrin – who shared their own experiences of the challenges of running a business, especially during a pandemic!

Recognising the power of the programme in accessing mentoring and business support, it was wonderful to hear from participants how valuable the programme has been in addressing big business decisions and how they have felt held and supported on their journeys.
>BREAKTHROUGH has been built around listening and responding to individual needs, so the day also provided a chance to workshop ideas about how we can shape future support and what that might look like.
Take a look at the video below for some stats and testimonials from the programme so far.
“The value of >BREAKTHROUGH is that somebody is absolutely focused with intent on your product or services, and who you are and how you can grow – so it is bespoke.”
