Case Study: Research, Evaluation & Design
Age UK West Sussex, Brighton & Hove
Context
Age UK West Sussex, Brighton and Hove is a brand partner of Age UK national delivering support and providing services to over 50s across West Sussex, Brighton and Hove.
Their five-year strategic plan sets out our business objectives for 2020-2025. A key priority of these objectives is to secure a variety of income streams to underpin services and deliver their charitable objectives to as many older people as they can reach.
Challenge
Age UK West Sussex Brighton & Hove knew there was scope to develop their services and opportunities for younger older people (40-60 age group).
This project needed to understand the demographic information and expectations about the ageing of current and future Age UK WSBH customers.
This left always possible the challenge of creating a robust understanding of opportunities and risks in the sector and area that Age UK West Sussex Brighton & Hove operate in, to inform their commercial strategy. This strategy was built to complement their fundraising and procurement-led income streams, and help the charity to make future decisions about how best to use that funding.
