Context
With over 40 years of design and delivery experience, Peter Taylor Associates Ltd (PTAL) is a firm of architects started in 1978 by Peter Taylor.
They have established strong working relationships with some of the UK’s top housebuilding, educational and hospitality clients within both the private and public sectors, and have offices in East Sussex, Mayfair and Birmingham, employing around 40 staff.
Challenge

They were looking for an independent, expert view of the company and, in particular its financials, and how to improve in both the short and long term. The PTAL team were also seeking advice on strategy, ideas on how to improve marketing and branding – especially with local markets – and also explore any ideas to boost staff skills training and development.
The Company Secretary was looking for some expert advice that would help to stabilise the business and then be able to grow from a solid base. He personally wanted support with development his role in order to create space for other directors to plan for the long-term.
