A brand new festival of creativity, technology and aspiration

always possible, in a landmark collaboration with Basildon Borough Council, is thrilled to announce the inaugural Creative Tech Festival: Basildon 2024, a fortnight of events poised to showcase and spotlight the landscape of creative digital technology and STEM careers. This groundbreaking festival, scheduled from 8th to 23rd February 2024, will incorporate National Apprenticeship Week and the half-term break, with a wide range of events for young people and families.

An inclusive and curious fortnight

Creative Tech Festival: Basildon 2024 will offer an array of workshops, talks, and experiential events designed to inspire and cultivate young minds at the crucial juncture between formal education and the professional world.

The festival centres on four central themes – Inspire, Grow, Build, Evolve – each crafted to nurture confidence, skills, and an opening up of 21st century opportunities.

Whilst the festival is for all, many events will be dedicated to young people aged 14-18, creating inclusive environments where the restless aspiring entrepreneur, the garage coder, and the undiscovered voice within everyone can flourish.

A full events programme will be published in the next few weeks.

But always possible will be running four flagship festival events:

  • CreativeTechFest _PRODUCTIVITY: A business-focused event showcasing emerging technologies reshaping the workplace, and what this means for recruitment and skills.
  • CreativeTechFest _LAB: An opportunity for young people to explore career paths linked to their interests, featuring challenges set by local businesses.
  • CreativeTechFest _LEARN: Aimed at educators, this event will highlight how AI and other technologies can revolutionise learning environments, with special contributions from FacultyAI and others.
  • CreativeTechFest _GREENTECH: An interactive event for schools, looking at how technology can shape a future without harmful waste, pollution or depleted biodiversity, delivered in partnership with STEM Learning and STEMPOINT.

Creative Tech Fest Basildon is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), Basildon Borough Council, with contributions from individual and corporate sponsors. These partnerships are crucial in highlighting Basildon as a hub of ambition and future-focused innovation.

always possible is responsible for brand and communications over the next two years, and supporting the programme and partnership development, as well as delivering the flagship events.
