Good Space volunteering opportunity portal is launched
Good Space is a unique platform supporting creative, inclusive and meaningful volunteering opportunities in arts, heritage, and sports organisations.
Good Space was founded by three leading Sussex organisations: Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival, Heads On, and Sussex Archaeological Society. Its mission is to empower people to improve their mental wellbeing, connect with others, gain valuable skills and experience, and contribute to their partner organisations’ positive community impact.
Everyone who volunteers with a Good Space partner will be awarded a digital badge – these serve to celebrate achievements, reward dedication and are recognition of the skills and abilities of volunteers.
always possible is the research and evaluation partner for the project.
We believe that volunteering can have a hugely positive impact on people’s mental health, wellbeing and community engagement. It’s also a great way to gain valuable skills and experiences that can enhance your CV and improve your employability. We want to inspire everyone to volunteer, and particularly those for whom participation has often been a barrier. We’re aiming to build a national movement to promote the positive impact of volunteering on mental wellbeing. Today Sussex, tomorrow the whole country.
