Emma Mills-Sheffield joined always possible in 2020 as a specialist in business growth and strategy, workshop facilitation, and grant and tender writing. Emma founded Mindsetup Ltd in 2019, a consultancy dedicated to helping businesses streamline operations and foster employee development and resilience.

Emma has 20 years of experience in business operational efficiency, bids, sales, process improvement projects, training programmes, workshop facilitation and coaching across different sectors. Her career experience as Head of Pursuit Operations and Senior Pursuit Manager at KPMG, where she managed teams to achieve high performance and pursuit excellence. 

As a Business Growth Champion for Coast to Capital LEP, Emma provided specialist support to businesses in the South East to unlock further growth. Additionally, she has mentored over 60 grant applications for capital projects and regularly provides business mentoring through regional programmes. Her diverse experience spans public sector organisations, FTSE100 and Fortune500 companies, charities and start-ups.

Her leadership coaching emphasises humility and vulnerability, breaking down traditional hierarchical structures to improve communication and performance.

Qualifications, accolades and honours

Emma holds a Diploma from the Open University in Environment & Sustainable Development and has been recognised with multiple awards, including Best Businesswomen Award 2023. In January 2020, she was named one of 100 female entrepreneurs in the UK as part of the small business campaign f, which celebrates women who inspire their peers and communities through their businesses and wider activities. 

Emma’s extensive experience makes her a crucial asset in supporting scale-ups and driving business success. She has also held volunteer roles such as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Grassroots Suicide Prevention, Board Member of Brighton Chamber of Commerce, and Student Mentor at the University of Sussex Business School.
