Tamara Jacobs is a specialist in content strategy and empowering organisations through meaningful connections, impactful storytelling and strategic communication. As the founder of The Creative Strategist, she is an expert in developing tailored messages and delivering them effectively across different channels.

Throughout her career, Tamara has been recognised for her innovative approach and ability to create engaging communication strategies. Her work has consistently enhanced brand identities, earning her praise from clients and collaborators alike.


Tamara’s professional journey began with her role as a Content Strategist at Reuters, where she spent nearly seven years. In this position, she conceptualised and delivered multimedia, cross-channel thought-leadership campaigns for high-profile clients, including Facebook, BP, Barclays, and the UK Department of International Trade. Her work involved developing data-driven content strategies and collaborating with design, development, and production teams to create cohesive visual and storytelling assets.

Her work with Economist Impact saw her continue to develop strategic communication plans aimed at engaging funders and investors in sustainability, equity and social justice initiatives. One notable project was The Giving Lab, an innovative funding model ecosystem where Tamara led the development of a multi-layered multimedia approach to share learnings from a community-led grantmaking pilot programme. This included practical guides, impact reports, social media assets and public engagement materials.

Tamara holds an MA in Publishing Studies from City University, London, and a BA in Creative Writing and English Literature from Concordia University. Additionally, she has earned several certifications, including Behaviour Change Interventions (UCL, 2023); MBA Essentials from (LSE, 2020); Branding (Central Saint Martins, 2019); Copyediting (Ryerson University, Toronto 2010); Production Editing (George Brown College, Toronto 2006); International Baccalaureate (International School of Geneva, 2000-2002)

Tamara is the Founding Trustee of Global Girl Media UK, where she assembled a board, developed summer programme curriculums, and led workshops to amplify marginalised voices. Her commitment to community engagement is also reflected in her roles on the boards of Barefoot College International, Fumble UK’s Expert Advisory Board, and her active involvement with Giving Women.
